This presentation will cover the history and basics of bitcoin, the first cryptocurrency, as well as the use of blockchain technology to spawn a number of other tradable assets and innovative business systems. We will discuss US regulation of cryptoassets, with a focus on taxation, and discuss how cryptocurrencies present unique challenges and opportunities for tax preparers and estate planners.
