CEPC Member Only Roundtable Sessions - Adventures in Advanced Drafting
Participant will attend their pre-selected breakout session form 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. after which the participants will have the opportunity to network with the featured speakers from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. Breakout Sessions: 1. Marital Formula Funding Clauses, featuring Eileen Trost, Freeborn & Peters LLP 2. Specialized Estate Tax Provisions, featuring Rob Romanoff, Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC 3. Powers of Appointment, featuring Kathleen Buchar, The Northern Trust Company How the Roundtable Sessions work: Designed for more experienced practitioners, the Roundtable Sessions will feature three experts, each presenting on one of three advanced but related trust and estate topics. Format: During the Roundtable Sessions, the speakers will introduce the topic, as well as common issues and unique considerations relating to the topic. Rather than a formal lecture, however, the balance of the Roundtable session will be a facilitated conversation between the speaker and participants, allowing participants to ask questions, discuss variations, and consider nuances relating to the topic. Benefits: Participants have the opportunity to meet and dive deeper into specialized issues with leading practitioners in the field. Instead of a basic introduction to a complex issue that might otherwise receive more superficial coverage in a large group session, the Roundtable Sessions are designed to offer small group conversation and targeted education at an intermediate to advanced level, specifically for CEPC members. |
