Please join us on Thursday, September 23rd when Marguerite H. Griffin, The Northern Trust Company will be presented with the Austin Fleming Distinguished Service Award and will present "The Future of Philanthropy and How Wealth Advisors Can Maximize Philanthropic Impact for High-Net-Worth Clients."

We encourage our members to invite the CEO, Executive Director, or other professional from a charitable organization, for which they serve on the board or otherwise support or volunteer.

In this session, we will:

  • Review current charitable giving statistics and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nonprofit sector;
  • Provide an overview of trends that are shaping the future of philanthropy, both domestically and globally;
  • And explore what wealth advisors need to know about the charitable giving strategies of the “new” philanthropist.

We will also address issues such as engaging women and Millennials in wealth transfer and philanthropy discussions, aligning tax-advantaged charitable giving vehicles with expected philanthropic outcomes, incorporating sustainable investing and ESG strategies in philanthropic programs, using non-charitable vehicles to accomplish charitable objectives, and facilitating intergenerational conversations around legacy and philanthropy.
