Workshop: Gender and DEI in the Workplace: How to be a Good Mentor and Ally
The need to assure our workplaces are diverse and inclusive has never been greater. A key to accomplishing this is for there to be a strong culture of mentorship and allyship across the organization, especially for those that are not part of the organization’s dominant group. But what does it mean to be a mentor or ally and how can you be an effective one? Join Andie Kramer and Al Harris as they discuss why these roles can make a significant difference in the work lives of colleagues, how to start such a relationship and be effective at it, as well as examine situations where being a mentor or ally can be hard, offering concrete tips on how to overcome these hurdles.
