The panel consists of tax, legal/estate planning, valuation, and financial planning advisors who have broad experience in working with business owners and the crucial issues around the sale of their business. Each panel member will provide perspectives based on their practice area.
Learning Objectives:
You will gain insight into how to work with your business owner client to;
- Get their “house in order” - getting the business ready for sale
- Engage in tax and estate planning while gaining an understanding of the income, business, and estate planning tax impacts of selling the business
- Understand the levels of value of a business and how intra-family and/or charitable gifts of the business equity are impacted from a valuation perspective during the sales process
- Personally develop a financial plan for themselves and their family before and after the business sale as it relates to both quantitative and qualitative issues
